Orthotics

Plantar Fasciitis

The degeneration or inflammation of the fibrous band that runs along the bottom of the foot. It is characterised by pain at the bottom of the heel and sometimes along the arch of the foot.

Plantarflexion

The downwards bending of the foot.

Severe’s disease

Inflammation of the growth plate at the back of the heel bone, typically in children and adolescents ranging from nine to fourteen years of age

Shin splints

An over-use injury resulting in pain in front of the leg associated with running and exercise.

Stress Fracture

A bone fracture caused by repeated microtrauma and repetitive mechanical stress on a bone

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

Pain, tingling and numbness at the inner side of the ankle or bottom of the feet due to a compressed nerve

Inflammation of a tendon.
